Baptism Day

Ashtyn was baptized on the 28th. It was such a nice special day for her. We had a lot of family support and although chaotic at times, it was really great to have everyone around. Ashtyn we are very proud of you! You are such a beautiful young lady. Ashtyn and Dad ready to be baptized: Looking cute in her new dress: My family, we were missing one sister Ashlee but the rest of the clan was there: After the baptism we went to Gringo's for the luncheon. I served home made food, we just used Gringo's for the tables and chairs and it worked out nicely:

Haylee is Six!

Haylee turned six today and it couldn't have come soon enough. She had a hard time seeing Ashtyn with a birthday knowing hers was so close. Every day I would tell her how many more days and she would try to use the excuse but it's my birthday excuse several days before her birthday even came. Friday morning finally came and she was glowing with excitement. We had my parents come over at 7 a.m. for breakfast because our day was so busy we couldn't figure out another time to let them come celebrate with her. She opened all her gifts but was bummed that she couldn't play with them because it was time to go to school. Later that day she got a birthday party with a neighbor friend Cora and we had a pajama party and partied until late (8p.m.). I enjoyed all the girls who were at her party, they made it a lot of fun with each of their fun personalities. Opening gifts in the morning: All the kids at the party: Cora and Haylee with the cake: Eating pizza: Playing musical chairs:

We've Moved...

Every room in our house has been moved this week. Our house is not quite 3 years old and the carpet started to bubble throughout. We called Kartchner and they came and took a look and agreed to take care of the problem for us. This meant we had to remove everything from each room so they could stretch the carpet correctly. We did it in two phases so that we could use the other rooms to store the other room's contents. Thank you Nikki, my wonderful neighbor for being such a big help through the week. It took a lot of stress off my plate! With Ashtyn's birthday and Enrichment Night to prepare for there was a lot going on this week. Here is what our mess looked like: Brigham thought it was fun running around in the empty rooms. Mom didn't think the empty rooms were fun at all. The dining room The living room...not so livable

It's great to be 8

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHTYN! We can't believe it but Ashy turned 8 today. Time has flown by. She woke up at 6:45 ready for the day so Scott and I got up and made her favorite thing, Orange Julius and let her open her presents. Our house is in shambles right now (story to come soon) so we had the family meet us at Arctic Circle and just did her birthday party there. She got a Mountain Bike, new dress, shoes, clothes, and Crayola color surge markers,a tea set you get to paint yourself, money, balloons and candy. She has a lot of people who love her which we appreciate. Everyone made it such a special day for her. We hope you had a great day Ashtyn. You are such a great example to all of us. We love you!

Our Cindy Lou Who

This week is Dr. Seuss week at Kennedy Elementary. They ate green eggs and ham today at school and got to dress up as a Dr. Seuss character. We decided to send Ashtyn as Cindy Lou Who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I went to the school today and there were a lot of Cindy Lou Who's and some other creative costumes. It was fun to see what people had come up with, it was almost like Halloween in March.
